The zoom of cars,
police yell bright–
whistling jet in sky,
playground kids stage a fight.
As I close my eyes–
think of nothing, in delight,
both hands clinched behind my head–
pretend sleep as if were night or dead.
Laughing, crying–
loud screaming so nice.
The darkness brings me back a flight.
A lazy afternoon.
As I lay back and retire,
giving no attention to the siren–
white noise.
beautiful noise.
I fall asleep...
